Tara Ison is the author of the novels The List (Scribner), A Child out of Alcatraz (Faber & Faber, Inc.), a Finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Prize, and Rockaway (Counterpoint/Soft Skull Press), featured as one of the "Best Books of Summer" in O, The Oprah Magazine, July 2013. Her forthcoming books are Reeling Through Life, a collection of essays, and Ball, a short story collection, from Counterpoint/Soft Skull Press. Her short fiction, essays, poetry and book reviews have appeared in Tin House, The Kenyon Review, The Rumpus, Nerve.com, Black Clock, TriQuarterly, and numerous anthologies. She is also the co-writer of the cult movie Don't Tell Mom The Babysitter's Dead.
Sophie Sills' book of poetry, Elemental Perceptions: A Panorama was released from BlazeVOX Books in the winter of 2010. Her poems and reviews have appeared in Elimae, Cricket Online Review, thethe poetry, Jacket2, Manor House Quarterly and other journals. She lives in Los Angeles, teaches at National University and publishes Peacock Online Review.
James Ducat's work has appeared in Word Riot, Specter Magazine, Inlandia: A Literary Journey, Convergence, The Citron Review and others. He teaches writing at Mt San Jacinto College, and lives with his son in a house painted pink.
Jennifer Genest grew up riding horses and playing in the woods of Sanford, a mill town in southern Maine where her family still owns a concrete company. In the past she has worked as a chambermaid in a beachfront motel, for a patriotic beer company in Boston, and as a copywriter in Los Angeles. Her novel manuscript, The Mending Wall, is currently seeking publication (D4EO Literary Agency). An excerpt from The Mending Wall was recently published by Paris Play. Jennifer has her MFA from Antioch University Los Angeles and was a Peter Taylor Fellow for the 2013 Kenyon Review Writers Workshop.
